Perform Mechanical laboratory testing for Fastener samples to pre-determined test methods
Adhere to procedures to ensure compliance to NADCAP, AS9100 and customer requirements
Understand and interpret technical documents with demonstrable experience of at least 1 year in a similar role.
Specific Responsibilities Include: Key responsibilities include
Destructive testing of samples for production batches. Test methods include;
Tensile
Double Shear
Proof stress and elongation
Fatigue
Chemical analysis
Torque
Metallurgical assessments
Accurately recording test data and transposing to the ERP system.
Exporting reports from test machines to the ERP system.
Participation in Internal Round Robin program.
Identifying and reporting errors in testing
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Participation in NADCAP audits.
Liaison with Logistics team to process priority WIP in a timely manner.
Development of internal procedures for test methods.
Equipment Used: ERP system Microsoft Excel Microsoft Outlook Test machine control software Qualifications:
Must have at least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing/lab environment
Experience is essential in a quality-based role (i.e. inspection or test technician
Must have great attention to detail.
Must be able to read technical drawings and specifications.
Demonstrable skills in escalating problems that are identified in the testing procedure
Experience of working as part of a team
Physical Demands The role involves the destructive testing of product. As such you will be required to perform physically repetitive tasks such as loading jigs to test machines, loading samples to jigs and preparing micro cross section mounts.
