JOB DETAILS
Job Title: Laboratory Technician
Site Location: Mambo-Tox
Reports to: Technical Team Leader

JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT:

  • To provide high quality technical and practical support for Mambo-Tox\xe2\x80\x99s laboratory processes.
  • To ensure efficient running of laboratory and field studies, resulting in accurate and reliable data, for regulatory submission.
  • To maintain good communication with laboratory and management teams.


JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Execute routine laboratory duties accurately and reliably, to exemplify Mambo-Tox\xe2\x80\x99s study excellence. Both with a high standard of science and in accordance with the requirements of GLP accreditation.
  • Constantly evaluate specific and general requirements for laboratory support and provide this accordingly.
  • Deliver consistent outcomes that are in accordance with mandatory guidelines and processes.
  • Create a positive and professional way of working, so as to motivate colleagues to provide a quality and reliable service to clients.
  • Actively seek and participate in training and progression opportunities, while maintaining the test facilities core training commitments.
  • Communicate effectively with the Technical Team Lead, so that technical support is optimally engaged.
  • Deliver equipment and facility maintenance duties efficiently and effectively, so as to ensure the continued functionality of the laboratory.
  • Be proactive in helping to maintain a clean and safe laboratory work environment. To conduct processes in accordance with current health and safety regulations and offer a voice for concerns and ideas when appropriate.
  • Mentor new colleagues to ensure their onboarding into the company is friendly, professional, and inspiring.
  • Contribute to meetings and discussions to enhance the capability and standards of the laboratory. To review performance, ensure consistency on approach, raise issues, and discuss new ideas.
  • Participate in troubleshooting on resourcing and escalating issues through Technical Team Leader.
  • Staying up to date with relevant scientific developments that can improve the efficiency of lab operations.
