The Role

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to assist with engineering testing requirements on various projects within the Central Laboratory. They will work closely with team members from the laboratory, supporting a culture of teamwork and flexibility.

The role will consist of but not be limited to:

Carry out a wide range of mechanical, environmental, and electrical tests in the laboratory in a professional and timely manner. Prepare samples and laboratory equipment for various tests. Use testing equipment with a focus on quality and accuracy of measurement. Follow Central Laboratory test methods and Customer test specifications. Record and communicate test results to laboratory management. Carry out other duties as required by the line manager.

Special Conditions

Must have an existing right to work in the UK as role is not suitable for sponsorship.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

Ability to read and understand Test Specifications. Knowledge of testing and measurement equipment. A basic knowledge of quality systems such as IATF 16949 and ISO/IEC 17025. Basic engineering qualifications preferred, however not essential. Attention to detail. Good communication skills. Hands on experience of mechanical, environmental, or electrical testing within a laboratory environment would be beneficial.
