Job Summary

Are you ready to play a pivotal role in advancing the LIA's laboratory, we are seeking a Trainee Technician, in this role, you will learn about different types of lighting fixtures, including their functions and applications. Develop knowledge and testing capabilities in line with the Laboratories' requirements for testing lighting products.

Responsibilities

Assist experienced technicians with the setup, operation and breakdown of lighting equipment.

Performing simple laboratory tests in order to produce reliable and precise data to support product investigations.

Prepare test results to effectively communicate test status to management.

Assist in booking in projects onto the system and other administrative duties

Ensuring the laboratory environment is maintained in good order.

Working under the supervision of senior staff.

Assisting in the calibration and repair of lab equipment when required.

Assist with lab maintenance and construction.

Other duties as assigned

Experience

Personal workload management & organisation.

Good inter-personal skills for internal and external communications.

Effective communicator both verbally and written.

IT skills to include Microsoft office suite.

Attention to detail is required.

Good Maths, English and Science background knowledge.

A desire to work within the technical aspects of the lighting industry.

Eagerness to learn and progress

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Graduate

Pay: Up to 25,000.00 per year
