Labourer/Driver

to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in our workshop operations and deliveries.

About the Role



This isn't just a driving job; it's an opportunity to be at the heart of our operations, supporting our Senior Mechanics and ensuring the smooth flow of our equipment and components. You'll be involved in a variety of tasks, including:

Mechanical Support:

Assisting Senior Mechanics with the stripping, inspection, and rebuilding of diverse mechanical equipment and components. This includes cleaning, preparing, and maintaining equipment to the highest standards.

Driving & Deliveries:

Safely and punctually delivering and collecting consignments. You'll adhere strictly to time schedules, road traffic acts, and all transportation laws, maintaining an impeccable driving record.

Workshop & Warehouse Assistance:

Contributing to general housekeeping, maintaining the cleanliness of the workshop and yard, and assisting the Warehouse Coordinator with loading, unloading, and material identification.

Paperwork & Reporting:

Meticulously completing all required paperwork, including delivery tickets and goods-in checklists, and promptly reporting any faulty equipment or vehicle defects.

Safety & Compliance:

Always complying with company and HS&E policies and procedures, actively participating in toolbox talks, and reporting all incidents and accidents.
You'll need to be flexible, adapting to various tasks and communicating regularly with Senior Mechanics and the Workshop Supervisor.

What We're Looking For



Essential Skills & Experience:

Proven experience and/or a background in a similar labourer or driver role.

Valid driving licence

is essential; special licences for specific vehicles may be required. Basic IT skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet delivery schedules. Strong initiative and the ability to work independently. Excellent listening skills with the ability to understand and efficiently carry out instructions. A flexible and highly motivated approach to work. Proficiency in manual handling.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
