Architectural and Structural Steel Fitting Labourer Vacancy
Role Overview
We're seeking a reliable and hard-working self-employed labourer to assist our steel-fitting team on site. You'll work alongside qualified fitters, handling materials, tools, and site preparation tasks to keep the project running smoothly. You will be required to meet on site in Bournemouth centre.
Key Responsibilities
Unload, sort and stack steel sections and components safely Prepare and maintain work areas, including cleaning and debris removal Support fitters with lifting, positioning and securing steelwork Deliver tools, equipment and consumables to fitters as needed Assist with basic welding preparation and drilling under supervision Follow site safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience in construction is preferred but not essential Basic understanding of hand tools, power tools and material handling Physically fit and able to lift loads safely (up to 25 kg) Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude CSCS card is required Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
