The Role

New Labourer / Driver Contract available- 6 months in Rushden Due to continued successful growth, We have an excellent opportunity to join our Fortem team working on a 6 month contract with Amplius Housing as a Labourer on the Planned Kitchens project You will cover general labouring and driving. Including rip out and removal of old kitchens which are being replaced on a planned works programme and driving the materials to and from waste disposal centres / Suppliers This will involve carrying out repairs and maintenance to Social Housing properties, ensuring all work is undertaken to a high standard with the minimum of supervision. The Labourer takes ownership of work, aiming for 'First time Fix' on all jobs, operating within the company Health and Safety guidelines, and remaining within budget and time parameters

The Customer

Fortem's successful contract with Amplius supports nearly 8,000 houses, and we're expecting that to increase significantly in 2025. Our contract includes Repairs & Maintenance, Voids, Complex Works and FRA workstreams with Planned Works and Preventative Maintenance as well.

Duties and Responsibilities

Labourer / Driver Duties will include providing Labour support to Trades for our Kitchen refit planned works project This will be on a fixed term contract for 6 months based in Rushden and surrounding area o Rip out and removal of old kitchens being replaced on a planned works programme o Driving materials to and from waste disposal centres and suppliers o Working in partnership with other operatives to complete projects on time o Recording and submitting accurate data using relevant business systems electronic devices o Affording excellent customer service to client representatives o Comply with safeguarding policy and H&S standards at all times o Operating within the company's occupational road risk policies and procedures

What you will need

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria: Essential criteria: Labouring experience / General Maintenance and Decorating experience Understanding of Damp and Mould conditions Full UK driving licence Must be able to pass basic DBS checks Desirable: Social housing experience
