Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated

labourer

to join our team. The ideal candidate must hold a full UK driving licence and have previous labouring experience. You will be involved in both roofing and minor construction projects, collecting and delivering materials, and providing hands-on assistance to senior roofers and foremen.

Duties

Operate company vehicles safely to transport goods and materials to designated locations. Regularly inspect and maintain your vehicle to ensure it remains in good working condition, reporting any faults to your line manager. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or members of the public. Assist with loading and unloading materials, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Remove old roofing materials, debris, and waste from site. Mix and handle materials such as mortar, cement, and adhesives as required. Cut and measure materials under supervision. Keep the site tidy and organised throughout the working day. Ensure safe access to roofs and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment. Follow instructions from senior roofers and site supervisors. Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE. Support other general construction or maintenance tasks as required.

Experience and Requirements

A valid full UK driving licence (required). 1-2 years of labouring experience within the construction or roofing industry (preferred). Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to use initiative.

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
