We are seeking a motivated and reliable Labourer to join our fire and flood restoration team. This is a physically demanding but rewarding role involving the clean-up and remediation of properties damaged by fire, smoke, water, or mould. You will work on-site to support specialist technicians in restoring residential and commercial buildings to a habitable condition.
Duties
Assist in the clean-up and removal of fire- and water-damaged materials from affected properties
Operate drying equipment, air movers, dehumidifiers, and other restoration tools under supervision
Perform basic demolition, strip-out and preparation work as required
Clean and sanitise fire- and flood-damaged structures and contents
Ensure workspaces are safe, tidy, and in accordance with health and safety regulations
Load and unload materials, tools and equipment from vehicles
Support technicians in moisture monitoring and fire residue removal tasks
Follow all company protocols and client requirements while on-site
Accurately complete job sheets, logs, and inventory forms as needed
Wear appropriate PPE and maintain hygiene standards, especially when handling hazardous materials
Skills
Previous experience in a labouring, construction, or restoration role
Good physical fitness and stamina
Ability to work in challenging environments (e.g. damp, smoke-affected or confined spaces)
Punctual, dependable, and a strong team player
Attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions
Desirable:
Experience in fire and flood restoration or disaster recovery work
Full UK driving licence
