Job Summary
We are seeking a Labourer/Junior Tiler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be assisting a tiler with tasks like surface preparation, removing old tiles, mixing and applying adhesives, and cleaning up the work area.This role supports the main tiler by preparing materials and surfaces, and handling tasks that require physical labor.
The candidate will be able to learn the craft of ceramic tiling by working alongside experienced tilers.
Key responsibilities
- Surface preparation: Assist in preparing walls and floors by cleaning, levelling, and removing old tiles, grout, and cement.
- Material handling: Lift and transport tiles, adhesive, grout, and other materials to and from the work area.
- Mixing and application: Help with mixing adhesives and grouts according to instructions.
- Cutting and fitting: Assist with cutting tiles to size and shape using hand or power tools.
- Site maintenance: Clean up the work area, dispose of waste, and ensure the site is tidy and safe.
- Assisting the tiler: Follow instructions from the lead tiler to support the installation process.
