Job Overview

Floating Pontoon Hire is a long-established and respected UK provider of modular pontoon systems for docks, walkways, and floating work platforms across both the commercial and events sectors.

We are seeking motivated, conscientious, and hardworking freelance/self-employed contractors to support our operations team with the installation, demobilisation, and maintenance of pontoon systems and associated equipment.

Role Responsibilities

Assist with the

installation and removal

of floating pontoon systems across the UK as part of a professional installation team. Carry out

maintenance and repair

of company equipment, including pontoons, safety boats, outboard motors, vehicles, and trailers. Work to deadlines while ensuring high standards of safety and quality are maintained. Identify and solve on-site challenges independently and as part of a team. Represent the company professionally when working with clients and project partners.
Requirements

Full UK driving licence (essential). Good communication skills with a problem-solving mindset. Comfortable taking responsibility and working in a leadership capacity when required. Physically fit and able to undertake tasks involving

manual handling and outdoor work

in all weather conditions. Experience working in

marine environments

. Willingness to work away from home during the week on certain projects.
Engagement Details

Freelance / self-employed basis. Work primarily Monday - Friday from our Lymington warehouse, with regular UK travel. Competitive day rates or project rates (to be discussed, depending on experience and qualifications). Overtime and extended working hours may be required during project delivery.
