Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Labourer to join our Dundee Depot, working in our accommodation and toilet departments.


The role also involves covering for our service and toilet delivery drivers when neccesary.

Job Role:

Ensuring workshop area / canteen / washrooms / yard area are kept clean and tidy at all times as per basic Health & Safety guidelines Ensuring company assets are stored in the allocated areas as shown on each Depot Layout Plan. Where applicable, painting accommodation units and vehicles. Emptying rubbish bins on a daily basis. Washing down incoming units etc, recording details of excessively dirty items to ensure customers can be charged accordingly. Moving cabins as required - with forklift. Delivering / collecting items to or from sites or suppliers. Liaising with stores department to ensure adequate levels of cleaning equipment etc. are maintained. Operating Forklift.

General:

Complying with Company Policies and Procedures and upholding the Nixon Hire Values at all times. Ensuring all work is carried out in a safe and timely manner without risk to yourself and others whether on site or at a depot in line with the company's Health & Safety Directives, Method Statements and procedure. Wearing appropriate safety clothing and using safety equipment to complete the task undertaken in the working environment in accordance with the company's P.P.E requirements. Maintaining a safe and hazard free work area be it on customer site or within Nixon Hire premises. Checking company vehicles before use and driving in a safe and courteous manner, along with timely reporting of any vehicle defects. Reporting any accidents (person, property or vehicles) via the Accident / Incident report system. * Complying with all Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
