Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver/Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving, with experience in delivery and warehouse operations. This role is vital for ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods, while maintaining high standards of service and communication.

Responsibilities

Operate various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries, to transport goods to designated locations. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to all safety protocols. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure optimal performance. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to coordinate delivery schedules. Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices at all times.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driving licence. Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Experience working in a warehouse environment is an advantage. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Familiarity with flatbed operations is beneficial.
