Job Description
Gordon Bow Engineering Ltd is an engineering and manufacturing business based in Broxburn specialising in the design and installation of structural steel and architectural metal work. Clients include Cala Homes, Robertson Homes and Dundas Builders. We have been established for nearly 40 years and have an excellent reputation in our industry.
We are looking for a responsible Yard Person to assist the Workshop Foreman in the general duties of facilitating the fabrication shop.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Stock take for yard and stores
Keeping stock up to date
Loading and unloading of lorries/steel deliveries
Moving steel sections from yard to fabrication shop in liaison with Workshop Foreman
Keeping yard tidy and organised
Keeping stores tidy
Taking deliveries and allocating to contracts
Steel painting
Deliveries to site
General housekeeping
General labouring duties
You will be working within a close-knit team helping each other to accomplish the required production targets.
Qualifications & Skills
Essential
Driving Licence
Good Work Ethic
Excellent Attention to Detail
Excellent Communication Skills
Desirable
Knowledge of structural steel sections would be an advantage
Current CSCS Card would be advantageous
