OX13 6HX We are a busy dental laboratory looking for a motivated individual to join our team. This role is administrative and with opportunities to gain hands-on experience in dental technology. Full training will be provided, prior experience is not essential--just a willingness to learn and a keen eye for detail.
Qualifications Required:
GCSEs in Maths, English, and a science subject (or equivalent) at grade 4-9 or equivalent.
Personal Qualities:
Ability to work unsupervised following a planned work schedule
Writing and numeracy skills
Familiarity with computers / keyboards / typing skills
Word, Excel, Access - statistics, graphs, data analysis
General awareness of importance of safety, and in particular safety issues of working in a laboratory.

Because of the technical experience you will gain from working in a laboratory, you will gain skills which many graduates have yet to develop. If you have practical ability, ability to solve problems and good communication skills there are opportunities for progression towards higher qualifications.

Booking in and booking out jobs
Organising schedules and workflow management
General admin support to ensure smooth daily operations
Assisting with laboratory tasks
Pouring impressions and articulating models
3D printing setup, layout, and cleaning
Zirconia milling and trimming
Emax milling and pressing
Assisting with denture work as required

This apprenticeship is a 15-month program, plus an End-Point Assessment period. You will receive dedicated support from experienced technical professionals and tutors through a blended learning approach that includes:

Regular one-to-one meetings with your tutor to track your progress and personalize your learning.
Upon successful completion, you will be eligible for professional registration with the Science Council as a Registered Science Technician (RSciTech). -
