Teach Major is seeking a passionate and dedicated LAMDA teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will work within our partnered primary and secondary schools, delivering high-quality acting lessons with a focus on the LAMDA curriculum. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about nurturing creativity, confidence, and communication skills in young people aged 6-16 years.
You will be teaching 1-1 or small group LAMDA lessons, helping students prepare for LAMDA examinations, auditions, or self-taping requirements.
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with the LAMDA curriculum and suit various learning styles.
Inspire creativity and confidence in students through dynamic and interactive teaching methods.
Track and maintain records of student attendance, progress, and achievements.
Provide constructive feedback to students and parents, ensuring clear communication about student development.
Stay up to date with best practices in performing arts education and participate in professional development opportunities.
Collaborate with Teach Major staff and school colleagues to contribute to performances or showcase events.
Requirements
A recognised qualification in performing arts or teaching.
In-depth knowledge of the LAMDA curriculum, including audition and self-taping techniques.
Previous experience teaching or working with children or young people.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students and parents.
Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs, including supporting students with SEN.
A genuine passion for the performing arts and making a difference in students' lives.
