Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Landscape Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and planning outdoor spaces that enhance the aesthetic appeal and functionality of various landscapes. You will work closely with clients to understand their vision, while also considering environmental factors and maintenance requirements. Your expertise in horticulture, landscaping, and construction will be essential in bringing these designs to life. You will also be responsible for managing two landscape teams comprising a Landscaper and a Labourer. Once clients have confirmed your design and costing you will be responsible, through your team, in delivering the agreed end product

Duties

Collaborate with clients to develop landscape design concepts that meet their needs and preferences. Create detailed plans and drawings for landscaping projects, including plant selection, irrigation systems, and hardscape elements. Supervise landscape installation projects to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards. Conduct site assessments to evaluate soil conditions, drainage, and existing vegetation. Provide guidance on landscape maintenance practices to clients for the long-term care of their outdoor spaces. Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques to incorporate innovative solutions into designs. Work alongside landscaping teams to oversee the implementation of landscape designs. Manage project timelines and budgets effectively while maintaining high-quality standards.

Requirements

Proven experience in landscape design or a related field, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work. Knowledge of horticulture principles, plant care, and landscaping techniques. Familiarity with irrigation systems and maintenance practices for sustainable landscaping. Managing experience is preferred to effectively lead project teams. Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Experience in lawn care, tree care, gardening, and general maintenance is advantageous. Proficiency in design software is a plus but not mandatory. A degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field is preferred but not required based on experience. Pay: 35,000.00-42,000.00 per year
