Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves caring for gardens and outdoor spaces, ensuring they are healthy, vibrant, and well-maintained. The Gardener will work with various tools and techniques to cultivate plants, manage irrigation systems, and maintain the overall aesthetic of the grounds.

Duties

Perform landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, weeding, and mulching. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently for various gardening tasks. Irrigate plants and manage watering schedules to ensure optimal growth conditions. Assist in the design and implementation of garden layouts to enhance visual appeal. Monitor plant health and identify any issues such as pests or diseases, taking appropriate action as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of gardening equipment and work areas. Collaborate with other team members to ensure the grounds are well-kept and meet aesthetic standards.

Requirements

Proven experience in landscape maintenance or gardening is preferred. Familiarity with operating power tools and hand tools relevant to gardening tasks. Knowledge of plant care, including growing conditions, pest management, and irrigation techniques. Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognise potential issues in plant health or garden aesthetics. Physical stamina to perform manual labour in various weather conditions. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
