We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Landscape Planner with robust post graduate consultancy experience to join our growing environmental management team located in Belfast, BT9. JBA also has a Landscape team in Dublin and further offices in Limerick and Cork. The post holder will support the expansion of our landscape and environmental services across the island of Ireland, supporting projects across a wide range of sectors. We have an expanding workload including residential development, transportation, SuDS/attenuation projects and environmental assessment projects and now seek a talented and motivated Landscape Planner with robust experience who can prepare written assessment work to join our team.

Your role:
The key areas of responsibility associated with this role will be:
Organising, planning and undertaking safely site surveys and other fieldwork, for LVIA projects and where required assisting other disciplines such as ecology with basic site survey work;
Completing LVIA for standalone reporting or as part of an EIAR;
Producing mapping in QGIS including constraints and ZTV;
Providing landscape design mitigation input into a range of projects (the design skills is desired but not essential);
Reviewing photomontages produced by external consultants. Ability to produce verified photomontages is desirable but not essential.
The team member we are looking for:
Has robust experience in LVIA.
Has experience in collaborative working, with effective interpersonal skills and able to communicate with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
Is highly self-motivated to improve personal and team performance and support the development of less experienced team members.
Is a flexible team player, able to work with different project teams both locally and across remote offices.
A recognised/accredited degree (or equivalent) in landscape architecture, a track record in environmental Assessment written work;
Membership of Irish Landscape Institute or UK Landscape Institute and be chartered or working towards chartership.
Essential attributes for the role:
A willingness to understand the management of projects, reporting on progress, carry out financial review and generate invoices;
A full Irish (EU) or UK driving licence;
Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver the objectives of large and complex commissions.
Experience carrying out site visits for LVIAs, taking site photography, drafting reports, confidently using the GLVIA.
