We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and aesthetics. Duties
Perform routine landscape maintenance including mowing, pruning, planting, and fertilising to ensure healthy growth and visual appeal.
Operate power tools such as trimmers, blowers, and lawn mowers safely and efficiently.
Utilise hand tools for planting, digging, edging, and other landscaping tasks.
Conduct minor repairs and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
Assist with the operation of heavy machinery such as excavators for larger landscaping projects or site preparation.
Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns.
Support construction activities related to landscape projects, including soil preparation and setting structures.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety standards.
Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of tools and work areas.
Qualifications
Proven experience in landscape maintenance or horticulture preferred.
Mechanical knowledge related to machinery and equipment used in landscaping.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and gardening equipment.
Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators is advantageous.
Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and maintenance.
Strong understanding of gardening practices, horticulture principles, and plant care.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for manual tasks.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in horticulture or construction are desirable but not essential. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to contribute to the creation of beautiful outdoor environments while expanding their expertise within the landscaping industry.
