Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and possess the necessary skills to maintain and enhance various landscapes. This role involves using both power and hand tools, performing groundskeeping tasks, and ensuring that gardens and outdoor spaces are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing.

Duties

Operate power tools and hand tools to perform landscape maintenance tasks effectively. Dig, plant, and irrigate gardens, ensuring proper care for plants and soil. Maintain existing landscapes by mowing, trimming, and edging lawns. Build and install landscape features such as pathways, flower beds, and retaining walls. Carry out regular inspections of grounds to identify areas needing attention or improvement. Assist in the installation of irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service by responding to client inquiries regarding landscape care.

Qualifications

Proven experience in landscape maintenance or a related field is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various landscaping equipment safely. Familiarity with gardening techniques, plant care, and pest management is advantageous. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude. Good physical fitness is required as the role involves lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods. A valid driver's licence may be required for transporting equipment to job sites.
