Hillside Animal Sanctuary are recruiting for: Full and Part Time Workers to work at our site in Haveringland , NR10 4PN
Large Animal Worker - Predominately Horses
Hours of Work:
7.30am - 5.00pm Summer Season, 7.30 am - 4.00pm Winter Season working 5 days over 7 with alternate weekends off. 42.5 hours per weekAssisting in providing a high standard of end to end care to rescued horses, some have special needs. Training will be given on site.
Duties to include (but not limited to)
Preparation of feeds & daily feed run operations Cleaning out of animal paddocks, enclosures and water tanks Closely monitoring animal health and well-being Maintaining safe, clean, warm and dry environments for the animals Moving, leading and grooming equines Tractor/trailer driving General cleaning and maintenance of farm machinery
Skills/ Qualities
A genuine interest in horse welfare Animal husbandry qualification or experience of working with horses Current manual driving licence Practical hands on approach to work in a flexible manner Capable to carry out manual handling Ability to work alone and within a team Good communication skills Experience of outdoor working in all Seasons Excellent time-keeping and attendance to work
