Hollinbrow Precision Products are have an exciting opportunity for an Operator Buddy and Packer to work alongside their Laser Operator.
Hours of work & Terms of Employment:
Fixed Term, full-time, subject to satisfactory completion of a 3-month probationary period.
39 hours per week, working 8.00am to 4.30pm on Monday to Thursday and 8.00am - 3.30pm on Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break from approx. 12.30-1.00pm. Occasional overtime may be available during busy periods, this may include early starts and late evening or hours.
Minimum Wage dependent on skills and experience, and auto-enrolment pension where applicable.
Job Purpose:
Work alongside a Laser Operator, assisting them with inspecting, finishing and polishing the final products as they come off the laser machine.
Utilise a variety of handheld tools to finish and polish parts to customer requirements.
Record all required production information on each job cards and day sheet.
Be prepared to learn to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings (Metric and English).
Be prepared to develop and learn how to operate Laser machines to provide absence, holiday cover for Laser Operator if required.
Be prepared to pay attention to detail and work to fine tolerances.
Carry out visual and tolerance inspection, including first-off and final inspection.
Boxing and packing of products to required standards and boxing all products.
Following training, work with minimum supervision and in a positive manner with all of the production team and other employees to meet the departmental and business objectives.
Cleaning and maintaining working area, environment and machinery to a tidy and safe standard.
Ensuring compliance with Company Policies and Procedures and Health & Safety Policies..
Cooperating with and assisting colleagues and ensuring positive team-working and relationships.
Carrying out any other reasonable duties not specifically stated within this job description, as requested by the Managing Director.
Qualifications:
GCSEs with A-C in math's desirable, or equivalent experience, and have a keen interest to work and develop within a manufacturing environment.
About the candidate:
Previous experience within an assembly/manufacturing environment, using a range of handheld tools is desirable.
Good record of attendance and punctuality.
Positive team member with good communication skills.
Be enthusiastic and have the motivation to learn and develop knowledge and skills within a production environment.
Ability and desire to work at a fast pace to achieve production targets.
To be organised, accurate and flexible within your working environment.
To have an understanding and experience of the importance of health & safety issues.
