Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating laser cutting machines to create high-quality wooden medals. This role requires a keen eye for detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Design & Preparation

Create custom medal designs using graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator or similar) Collaborate with clients or internal teams on artwork and branding Create and prepare intricate design files for production using Adobe Illustrator and LightBurn software.

Manufacturing

Operate laser equipment to cut and engrave wooden medals Set up jobs, calibrate machinery, and select correct materials to ensure flawless execution Finish products through sanding, painting, assembling, or applying other treatments Ensure high quality and consistency in all production runs

Quality Control & Workflow

Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy Organise and pack completed orders ready for delivery or dispatch Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Skills & Requirements:

Experience in graphic design (vector-based software essential) Practical experience with woodworking, laser cutting, or CNC machinery preferred Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Comfortable working independently and managing multiple orders Ability to meet deadlines in a production environment
Desirable Qualities:

A creative eye and a passion for unique, custom-made products Hands on experience with CO2 laser engravers Willingness to learn and adapt to new equipment or processes Organised and reliable with good time management Knowledge of UV printing

Pay: 26,000.00-28,000.00 per year
