Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laser setter / Operator to join our team and operate our Amada F1 CO2 laser. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating the laser cutting machine to cut out components to a high standard. This role requires a keen eye for detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with various materials and thicknesses. The Laser setter / Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Operate laser cutting machines to produce precise components according to specifications Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laser equipment to ensure optimal performance Collaborate with the fabrication team to prepare materials for cutting and assembly Utilise hand tools and tooling effectively to support production tasks Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations Assist in the assembly of components as needed, ensuring quality control throughout the process

Skills

Experience in sheet metal work Competent in using hand tools and tooling for various applications Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
