We have an opportunity to join a steel manufacturing business based in Sheffield on a full time permanent contract. This company has a healthy order book and impressive on site facilities. The role of Laser Team Leader will include managing a team of around 6 operators and will be a combined hands on and supervisory role. Reporting into the Production Manager day to day responsibilities will include;

• Implementing and managing KPI\'s along with identifying training requirements within your team.
• You will plan and problem solve issues such as absences, customer orders and stock demands.
• Provide regular and accurate plan progress updates to Management
• Assure product quality through periodic checks and inspections
• Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment as specified by procedure.
• Manage raw materials within cell
• Competently set and operate the laser for cutting a range of material /thicknesses ensuring quality of cut is clean and free from burrs whilst maintaining optimum cutting parameters
• Accurately use PMC / Movex ERP and Excel to update / confirm manufacture
• Ensure H&S procedures are adhered with the cell

We are looking for Team Leader, Senior Laser Operator or Supervisor with proven experience within a laser department. You must be able to demonstrate previous man management experience within a process driven / production environment. You will be an excellent decision maker, team motivator and problem solver.
