Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient cleaning, organisation, and maintenance of all laundry services within our establishment. Prior care home or hospital experience is highly desirable, as it demonstrates familiarity with industry standards and customer service expectations. Responsibilities

Collect, sort, and process laundry items including bed linens, towels, and resident clothing Operate laundry machinery such as washers and dryers in accordance with safety guidelines Ensure all laundry is cleaned to the highest standards of hygiene and presentation Fold, iron all laundered items for distribution throughout the home Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area at all times Monitor inventory levels of detergents and cleaning supplies, notifying management when stock is low Adhere to health and safety regulations to prevent accidents or contamination Assist with additional housekeeping duties as required to support overall home operations

Skills

Previous experience in a residential home laundry environment is highly advantageous Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks Reliable team player with a professional attitude towards guest service standards Basic understanding of health and safety procedures related to laundry operations
