Job Summary

We are Pittenweem Properties, and we host over 80 beautiful properties across the East Neuk. From 1 bed apartments to 5 bedroom houses, we pride ourselves on offering some of the most amazing properties to holiday makers.

We are looking to compliment our highly effective, friendly and dedicated team with a new Laundry Assistant.

We handle all laundry in-house, including ironing

. You will be responsible for ensuring that all linens are washed, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our guests, and ensuring our owners are satisfied with the service we are providing them.

With over 80 properties, this role can be very busy in high season, and flexibility on the part of the job holder is essential to tie in with business needs.

Responsibilities

This role takes on the full cycle of wash, dry, iron and fold bed linen and towels Operate our washers and dryers in such a way to ensure the best flow of dirty to clean to iron Ensuring no mix ups of linen from different houses Follow procedures for different fabric types and stain removal Whilst ironing, making up sets of bed linen by size to assist the housekeepers Allocating to the correct village when storing clean laundry Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order. Adhere to health and safety regulations while handling chemicals and operating machinery Assist with any additional cleaning tasks as requested by the team

Experience

Previous experience in a similar environment is preferred but not essential as full training can be provided Attention to detail - would you pick up on a faint dog paw print on a white duvet cover? Ability to work in a fast-paced guest focussed environment A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
This role will include some weekend working as we are open 7 days a week.
