What does the job role involve?
Laundry Assistant's play an important part in our care homes, ensuring it is a clean and safe environment for our residents and staff.
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Laundry Assistant to join our team and support the day-to-day running of laundry services within our care home. Your role will be essential in maintaining high standards of hygiene and comfort for our residents by ensuring their clothing, bedding, and linens are clean, fresh, and well-presented.
The role includes but is not limited to:
Ensure compliance with Guidelines for Laundry and Infection
When working in the laundry Infection Control measures must be complied with at all times, gloves and aprons must be worn for loading dirty/soiled linen into
Ensure cuts are covered with suitable plaster/dressing.
Infected/soiled linen to be collected and laundered in Red Alginate bags.
Ensure pockets have been checked to avoid unwanted items going through the laundry
Ensure familiarisation with Company's Policies and
Ensure that Infection Control Prevention policy, regulations and guidelines are adhered to.
All breakages and breakdowns to be reported to the Home Manager or Person-in-Charge immediately to ensure any necessary action can be
Any clothing repairs to be undertaken or reported to Keyworker or
Check clothing is marked with Residents name to avoid loss or wrongly
Any other ad hoc duties within the role

Must have previous experience

24 hours per week, including weekend work
Pay: 12.21 per hour

Kilburn Care Home offers residential, nursing, dementia and respite care in a specially designed modern home in the village of Kilburn, close to local bus services and the wider motorway network.
