12.35 per hour

Hours:

32 per week

Contract:

Permanent, Part-Time

Shifts:

8-hour or 10-hour shifts starting from 8:00 AM

Weekends:

Every other weekend

We are looking for a dedicated Laundry Assistant to support the day-to-day running of our busy laundry service at The Mountains Care Home.

This role is essential in ensuring our residents always have clean, fresh, well-presented clothing and linen helping them feel comfortable and cared for.

About The Mountains

The Mountains is a warm, vibrant 50-bed nursing home set in the peaceful Brecon countryside. We specialise in dementia and mental health care, and our team prides itself on offering a supportive, family-feel environment.

Your Role

As a Laundry Assistant, you will:

Sort, wash, dry, and fold residents' clothing, towels, and bed linen Operate laundry machinery safely and efficiently Label and organise items to ensure each resident's belongings are returned correctly Maintain cleanliness and good organisation within the laundry room Follow infection control procedures at all times Report damaged clothing or machine faults to the senior team

What We're Looking For

? Experience in laundry, housekeeping or domestic roles (preferred)
? Knowledge of infection control, or willingness to undertake training
? Reliable, efficient, and able to manage your workload
? Respectful of residents' personal belongings
? Able to work alternate weekends
