Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Assistant to join our team at Regency House Residential Home. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens and garments within our establishment. This position requires a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and efficiency, ensuring that all laundry is processed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

Sort, wash, dry, iron and fold laundry items according to established procedures. Operate washing machines and dryers, ensuring proper usage and maintenance. Inspect linens and garments for stains or damage, reporting any issues to management. Maintain cleanliness in the laundry area, including regular cleaning of machines and work surfaces. Ensure that all laundry is processed in accordance with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure timely delivery of clean items to various departments. Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low. Be willing to work in other areas of the home to meet the needs of the business.

Experience

Previous experience in a similar environment is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with laundry equipment and cleaning products is advantageous. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent organisational skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure. A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a team-oriented environment.

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 18 per week
