A flexible support role with a focus on laundry - where your work makes a difference every day.

We're looking for a reliable, proactive and flexible Bank Laundry & Support Services Assistant to join our team at Danygraig House Care Home. While this role is primarily based in the laundry, you may occasionally be asked to provide support in the kitchen or as part of the domestic team to help cover absence or increased demand.

What You'll Do

Your main responsibility will be ensuring residents' clothing and linen are handled with care, cleanliness, and respect. On occasion, you may support general domestic duties or assist in the kitchen as needed.

Core duties include:

Collecting, sorting, washing, drying, and ironing residents' laundry Returning clean items to the correct rooms and storing them neatly Maintaining hygiene and infection control standards in the laundry area Occasionally assisting with light cleaning or kitchen support tasks Supporting a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all

Who We're Looking For

Experience working in a care home, laundry, or similar support role (preferred) A flexible and dependable approach--you're happy to pitch in where needed Comfortable working independently or as part of a team Understanding of hygiene, infection control, and safe manual handling Willingness to complete training across laundry, domestic, and kitchen areas
