City Laundry and Ironing Services is seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to join our team in Edinburgh. About the Role: As a Laundry Attendant, you'll be the friendly face of our laundry service, providing excellent customer service to our valued clients. You'll play a crucial role in managing incoming laundry, ensuring it's processed efficiently, and prepared for timely delivery. While we have a dedicated ironing specialist, you'll be responsible for the washing and folding stages of the laundry process. Key Responsibilities: Customer Liaison: Greet customers warmly, take their laundry orders accurately, and address any inquiries they may have. Laundry Processing: Work collaboratively with the team to efficiently wash and fold a variety of garments and textiles. Order Preparation: Prepare completed laundry orders for driver pick-up and delivery to customers, ensuring all items are accounted for and correctly bundled. Invoicing & Accounts: Liaise with our accounts team to ensure all customer invoices are generated and sent accurately and promptly. Process Adherence: Strictly follow all operational procedures for machine operation, ensuring optimal performance and longevity. Health & Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. What We're Looking For: Previous experience in a customer-facing role is a plus. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently in a team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift laundry bags as required. Pay: 12.50-14.00 per hour
