Job Description

Glenburnie Lodge Care Community is a luxury care home in Wenvoe. We are looking for someone to join our team as a Laundry & Housekeeping Assistant on a full time or part time basis. Some weekend working will be required.

Main Responsibilities:

To assist in the Home's laundry, adhering to policies and procedures relevant to working in the Laundry. Ensuring that all daily, weekly and monthly records are kept as required.

To assist with cleaning the resident's bedrooms, communal areas, corridors, visitor's cloakrooms, private dining space, and all areas of the Home that are not the responsibility of the Catering department.

To clean floors, work surfaces, and related equipment manually and also by use of the equipment provided.

To wear all appropriate PPE equipment for specific activities.

To ensure that proper standards of cleanliness are maintained.

To exercise due diligence and to ensure that standards of hygiene are strictly maintained.

To comply with requirements of cleaning schedules and ensure that all daily, weekly and monthly records are kept as required.

To ensure that adequate and safe storage of all housekeeping products and equipment.

To comply with regulations in respect of Health & Safety at Work, COSHH, Environmental Health and Fire Procedures.

To promptly report all mechanical defects and hazards to the Head Housekeeper.

Support the implementation, orientation and induction of new employees.

Be responsible for developing own skills and knowledge.

Attendance at specialist equipment training is mandatory.

Comply with Glenburnie Lodge Care Community's dress code whilst on duty.

Be responsible for the Health & Safety of yourself, other staff, residents and visitors. Reporting any hazards or potential hazards to the Head Housekeeper or the Person in Charge.

Adhere to all of Glenburnie Lodge Care Community's policies and procedures.

Adhere to the protection of vulnerable adults and the whistleblowing policy.

Ensuring that workplace training is take in accordance with requirements.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.61 per hour
