12.25 per hour (increased to 12.75 after 2 months)
Elder Homes Ltd is currently seeking a Laundry/Domestic Assistant to join our Hotel Services Department. With excellent teamworking and customer service skills, the successful candidates will be responsible for a range of cleaning/laundry duties.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Sort out washing into relevant groups, where applicable, and process it through the washer, drier and iron stages. Keep clean and dirty linen separate within the laundry area.
Launder all items in accordance within infection control, best practice and the Company policies and procedures.
Return residents' personal items to their room, ensuring it is stored in a tidy and ordered fashion. Ensure systems for the identification and correct return of personal clothing are effective.
Collect soiled linen from rooms and deliver fresh linen on a daily basis.
Cleaning residents' rooms and communal areas around the home
To ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the home.
Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sweeping
Clean and sanitize bathrooms and kitchens

Candidate Requirements:
You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and team working skills, together with the ability to take a flexible approach to your work.
Fluent English language skills are required.
Successful applicants will be subject to a PVG check and satisfactory references.
Previous relevant experience would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be given
