Job Description

How will you contribute?

o Develop a comprehensive understanding of DC operations and warehouse management systems (e.g., Matflo or similar).
o Analyse site throughput and proactively plan for event cycles, resolving any layout or operational impacts.
o Manage product availability in line with customer pick cycles to ensure optimal stock positioning.
o Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers to anticipate promotional or product changes that may affect layout planning.
o Produce and maintain detailed reports on stock health and operational metrics to inform layout decisions.
o Continuously optimise DC picking areas to improve efficiency and ensure products are in the right place, first time.
o Lead layout reviews and collaborate with operational teams to implement improvements and share best practices.
o Provide clear leadership and guidance to the layout planning and Inbound booking team supporting their development and effective collaboration with wider site colleagues.
o Foster strong working relationships across all levels of the operation to drive value and support cross-functional initiatives.
o Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities and supporting data-driven decision-making.
o Prepare and deliver presentations on warehouse layout and stock flow, covering past, current, and future insights to support engagement and decision-making.
o Provide support and cover across other planning functions, including capacity and bookings.

o Proven experience in a warehouse picking environment, with a solid understanding of picking and replenishment processes.
o Background in planning within a distribution or logistics setting is highly advantageous.
o Proactive, enthusiastic, and highly organised with a flexible approach to work.
o Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills in a fast-paced environment.
o Advanced PC literacy, particularly in MS Excel (including macros, SQL, and database management).
o Self-motivated and adaptable, thriving in time-sensitive operations.
