Job Description

As the

Lead Data Analyst

in the Finance Systems & Data team, you will serve as the analytical backbone of strategic projects, partnering with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and optimize financial reporting capabilities. This leadership role requires an expert in financial analytics who can turn large, complex datasets to align with the Finance long-term strategy for Management Information Reporting & Analysis (MIRA) suite. The ideal candidate will lead business experts in the analysis of processes, products and systems.


About the Role



In this opportunity as the Lead Analyst, you will:


Data Analysis & Reporting:

Collect, process, and analyze large sets of financial data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.

Business Partnering:

Collaborate with business units and leadership to understand analytical needs and deliver insights that drive business strategies. Work closely with stakeholders on reporting and compliance. Provide input to ad hoc projects within Finance and the business as required. Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and be seen as a key member of the management team who adds value to the decision-making process.

Data Integrity:

Ensure data accuracy and consistency, performing regular audits to maintain the quality and reliability of financial data.

Process Improvement:

Identify and execute opportunities to streamline processes, automate reporting, and enhance the value delivered by the team. Own and drive process improvement/simplification/excellence / automation in broader finance initiatives.

Leadership & Mentorship:

Be a guide to the team to improve their skills and competencies as well as ensuring they carry out their own responsibilities to a high standard.

About You



You're a fit for the role of the Lead Analyst if you have the following required qualifications:


At least 10 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or a related role. Experience in the finance industry or working with financial systems is highly desirable. Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and tasks simultaneously without sacrificing quality or timeliness Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex or vague issues and provide actionable insights Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey business and functional requirement information to stakeholders at all levels High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build relationships with key stakeholders
