About the Role

The School of Engineering gears up the next generation of engineers, with passionate experts developing students\' practical skills. We focus on covering multiple aspects of each specialism, health and safety knowledge, as well as engineering principles, giving our students an advantage over competitors.

Our engineering department facilities are second-to-none. These include motor vehicle mechanics, body & panel paint repair, electrical installation, mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, and fabrication and welding.

The learners study between level 1 and 3. You will oversee a group of learners, ensuring that they are supported throughout the year to achieve the best they can.

What You Will Do

  • You will be visiting apprentices on site within the Yorkshire area to assess all electrical installation elements of the Level 3 Electro-technical qualification (or similar).
  • In addition it will be your responsibility to prepare apprentices for the End Point Assessment (AM2S).
  • You will be using OneFile e-portfolio system, so experience of this would be an advantage.
About You
  • Ideally, the candidate will be apprentice trained with a minimum of 6 years experience in the industry.
  • They will hold a relevant Level 4 qualification in the subject area along with a teaching qualification and an assessor qualification.
  • Candidates who only have one of these awards will be supported in achieving the relevant missing award.
  • Experience in teaching or assessing in an Engineering environment would be advantageous.
