Lead Buyer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Lead Buyer to join our specialist and experienced Building Services company providing to the Energy, Food Processing and Pharmaceutical Industry with a unique service. We provide a unique service from concept, advising and partnering with our clients to ensure the correct mechanical and electrical solution bespoke to their needs.

The Role:

Lead and manage end-end procurement for workshop and site requirements Work closely with related departments to purchase materials based on operational requirements and specifications Build scheduling, materials planning, build budget management Provide input project planning and delivery Agree on costs, delivery schedules and payment terms Ensure all documentation is correct and complies with international purchasing and customs regulations Ensure delivery dates are accurate, and any changes are communicated to the relevant stakeholders, follow up with suppliers for issues with late deliveries Liaise with the Accounts team to assist with any invoicing queries and supplier terms Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers, evaluate regular as needed and research new potential suppliers Provide market updates, for example, price increases, supplier updates and stay informed on market and industry trends Recognise potential purchasing risks and mitigate where possible Lead negotiations to ensure efficient workflow and pricing Provide metrics to key senior management when required Assist with identifying areas for improvement in an effective way Ensure effective stock management is carried out

Personal Skills:

Proven track record as a Buyer/Senior Buyer within utilities, building services, engineering sector Clear and confident communicator Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once Possess strong time management and negotiation skills Attention to detail Analytically minded

Pay: 35,000.00-45,000.00 per year
