Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive
Purchaser
to join our expanding team during an exciting phase of growth and operational development. This role plays a key part in strengthening our purchasing function as we continue to automate processes, improve data accuracy, and scale global procurement.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day procurement of goods and services, working closely with Sales and Operations to ensure accurate product information, strong supplier relationships, and reliable stock availability. This role suits someone who is commercially minded, detail focused, and keen to progress into a management position within the purchasing department.
Strong experience with purchase orders, sales orders, and supplier coordination is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and execute day-to-day purchasing activities across UK and international suppliers
Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimise costs, improve margins, and support company growth
Negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times with suppliers to secure favourable commercial agreements
Monitor stock levels and forecast demand to ensure optimal product availability
Work closely with the Sales team to provide accurate product, pricing, and lead time information to support order conversion
Maintain accurate purchasing records including pricing, supplier data, and order history within internal systems
Evaluate supplier performance against cost, quality, and delivery metrics
Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes through automation and system improvements
Stay informed on market trends, supplier changes, and global supply chain developments
Skills and Experience
Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role, ideally within e-commerce, automotive, or fast-moving retail
Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain operations, and international sourcing
Confident negotiator with the ability to build long-term supplier relationships
Experience using warehouse management, ERP, or accounting systems
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Analytical mindset with the ability to assess purchasing and stock data to inform decisions
Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a growing team
