We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service delivery
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
Manage food safety procedures, including hygiene practices and allergen control measures
Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste
Develop new menu items in collaboration with management to meet customer preferences and seasonal trends
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their culinary skills and knowledge
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all kitchen operations
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to coordinate service times and optimise customer satisfaction
Skills
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong culinary skills with expertise in food preparation and cooking techniques
Supervising experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Knowledge of menu development, food presentation, and customer service principles
Experience in managing inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling costs
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining high standards of quality
