Make a Real-World Impact with Esri UK
Are you an experienced geospatial consultant, ready to combine your technical and consulting skills to deliver transformative geospatial solutions for our customers? Would you thrive working alongside a talented team of geospatial experts in a positive, supportive and inclusive work environment? Do you want to work for a growing company with a proven track record of developing its people and providing career progression opportunities? Then read on!
At Esri UK, we're passionate about the 'geographic approach' and are dedicated to serving our customers. We work with public, private and third sector customers - large and small - to help them harness the power of geography and ArcGIS technology to make better decisions, and to deliver better outcomes for their organisations, our society and the environment. By joining our Professional Services team, you'll have the rewarding opportunity to contribute to this meaningful work.
What You'll Do
As a Lead Consultant within Professional Services, you'll work closely with customers, advising and supporting them to deploy ArcGIS-based solutions that meet their unique business needs and deliver exceptional value. This is a customer-centric role where you'll prioritise creating an excellent customer experience through collaborative, consultative engagement.
Your responsibilities will include:
Advising customers on the ArcGIS platform, leveraging your deep skills in ArcGIS configuration, deployment, and integration to design and implement enterprise solutions that align with their strategic goals.
Providing hands-on support to customers in deploying ArcGIS solutions, ensuring seamless technical delivery while fostering long-term relationships and an outstanding customer experience.
Adopting a highly consultative approach by asking insightful questions, using business analysis techniques, and deepening our understanding of customer challenges to deliver tailored value and outcomes.
Supporting customers through digital transformation initiatives, ensuring ArcGIS solutions are effectively adopted and that benefits are fully realised.
Supporting business development by identifying opportunities, contributing to estimating, and assisting with proposal writing to create compelling propositions that resonate with customers.
Demonstrating leadership in the technical aspects of project delivery, including planning, building, testing, and deploying components, while managing work packages to time, budget, and quality standards.
Mentoring and coaching other consultants, building skills and contributing to a great team environment through collaboration with roles like Project Managers, Solution Architects, and Sales staff.
Contributing to Esri UK's continued growth and customer success by promoting the benefits of our products, staying ahead of GIS/IT trends, and ensuring every engagement drives innovation and positive impact.
What We're Looking For
You'll thrive in this role if you:
Have proven experience in geospatial consulting, with deep knowledge and experience of the ArcGIS platform.
Possess strong consulting skills, including business analysis, stakeholder management, creative problem-solving, benefits realisation, and influencing.
Demonstrate excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with a proactive, collaborative mindset.
Excel at facilitating workshops and collaborative sessions, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and translate complex needs into actionable solutions.
Can evaluate a customer's business goals and strategic objectives, and translate them into compelling geospatial solutions and roadmaps.
Enjoy multitasking, driving continuous improvement, and adapting to evolving business and customer needs.
Demonstrate curiosity, a collaborative spirit and a proactive mindset!
Bring leadership experience, such as mentoring teams, developing customer strategies/roadmaps, and developing customer proposals.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, and while Esri experience is highly valued, transferable GIS skills from other platforms are considered. Relevant domain experience (e.g. Government, Defence, Public Safety, Utilities, Transport, AEC, Commercial) is desirable but not essential.
Due to the nature of our work and the sensitivity of the data and clients we support, successful candidates may be required to undergo government security clearance, which could include higher-level vetting. As part of this process, candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK and may need to have lived in the UK continuously for the past five years.
What We Offer
A good basic salary - starting from circa 60k+ and rising with experience, plus a generous company bonus scheme paying up to 20% per annum.
A great benefits package - a 6% company pension; Vitality healthcare scheme; gym contribution; cycle to work scheme; family friendly policies, including enhanced maternity and paternity benefits. We believe that as a company we should give back wherever we can and also offer volunteering opportunities for charities that are important to you.
Flexible working - we all work flexibly. We are also happy to consider full and part time applications.
Location - You can be home or office based (Edinburgh, Aylesbury or Cambridge), or a mixture of both. We work virtual-first with most of our customers, however some travel (including some overnight stays) for customer visits, on site work, and team meetings will be required.
Career development - valuing our people is one of our company values, and we're committed to providing mentoring, training, and progression pathways within Professional Services and the wider business.
