Summary



We are seeking a skilled Dental Nurse to join our compassionate team. This role is crucial in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in providing high-quality treatments. Located in Kilmarnock, you will play a key role in enhancing patient experiences while ensuring their comfort and confidence.

Responsibilities



Assist dentists during procedures to ensure efficient workflow Provide excellent patient care by addressing concerns and ensuring comfort Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointments Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the surgery Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Collaborate with the dental team to improve patient experiences Support administrative tasks as needed to enhance office efficiency Stay updated with the latest dental practices and technologies

Qualifications

Qualified Dental Nurse with relevant certifications Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and staff Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently Basic IT skills for record-keeping and appointment management Proficiency in English is preferred but not mandatory

What You'll Do



? Lead, mentor and support the nursing team

? Maintain gold-standard infection control and compliance (HTM 01-05 / Scottish decontamination standards)

? Assist dentists and clinicians chairside, including implant and cosmetic treatments

? Coordinate rotas, training, stock control and clinical workflow

? Drive quality improvement through audits, protocols and patient care standards

? Act as a key liaison between clinical team, reception and management

About You



? GDC Registered Dental Nurse

? Minimum 2 years' clinical experience (NHS or private)

? Confident in cross-infection control and decontamination

? Natural leader who supports and uplifts others

? Organised, proactive and calm under pressure

? Passionate about delivering excellent patient care

Additional qualifications in sedation, radiography, or implant nursing are highly desirable but not essential.
