Lead Dental Nurse - The Mayhill Dental Practice, Monmouth

The Mayhill Dental Practice is growing, and we're looking for an experienced,

GDC-registered Lead Dental Nurse

to join our award-winning team.

This is a

full-time position (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:15 am-5:15 pm).

Recognised as the Best Private and Specialist Practice in Wales in 2016, The Mayhill continues to deliver outstanding general and specialist dental care, including implants, orthodontics, facial aesthetics, and more.

About the Role

As Lead Dental Nurse, you'll oversee a team of four nurses (including one trainee) and work closely with the Clinic Manager to maintain high clinical and operational standards. You'll help ensure the practice runs smoothly through effective leadership, compliance management, and attention to detail across all areas of patient care and infection control.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and support a team of four dental nurses Carry out regular audits, spot checks, and compliance reviews Manage stock control, including ordering and annual stock takes Ensure surgeries are clean, organised, and fully equipped Chair nurse meetings and take part in weekly Monday huddles Report to the Clinic Manager and collaborate with the IPC Lead Maintain GDC standards and uphold best practice in patient care and safety
