Job Summary

The Lead Dental Nurse is responsible for overseeing the clinical nursing team, ensuring high standards of patient care, compliance, and clinical excellence across the practice. This role includes chairside support, clinical leadership, mentoring, and ensuring all practice protocols, infection control measures, and CQC requirements are consistently met.

The key requirements required are (not exhaustive)

Liaise with the Senior Head Nurse and Practice Manager to co-ordinate clinical staff Maintain impeccable standards of infection control, according to the latest guidelines while following practice procedures and policy Manage the nursing team effectively and efficiently Supervising nursing staff ensuring all infection control policies and protocols are adhered to Ensure all Infection Control documentation is recorded and securely stored Maintain the practices health and safety procedures Hold regular nurse's meetings Induction and training of new staff members Identify any training needs Deputise for the Senior Head Nurse and Practice Manager Implement induction training for all new staff members Maintain staff training records Clinical and practice Infection Control audits

Essential Requirements

GDC-registered Dental Nurse Minimum 2+ years' experience as a dental nurse Strong knowledge of CQC standards, HTM 01-05, and GDC guidance Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills Ability to work efficiently under pressure and prioritise tasks

Negotiable salary depending on skills and experience
