Lead Developer (PHP)

45,000-55,000 + Bonus

We are looking for a Lead Developer to join a successful software company near Preston. The successful Lead Developer will spearhead and lead the technical direction for the business and will be responsible for keeping development efforts on track.

Some of your responsibilities as Lead Developer will include:

Ensuring the Development team is working effectively and delivering value consistently, aligned to the Product roadmap. Help to facilitate (and run, where necessary) agile ceremonies, ensuring concerns, barriers, blockers and other items are appropriately raised, escalated and resolved. Hands-on development where needed. Conduct regular code reviews. Contribute regularly to conversations around development process, to help ensure maximum efficiency across the business. Work in tandem with the Operations Manager to lead the team effectively. You will lead from a technical standpoint and the Operations Manager will lead on the people management side.
To be considered for this role you must be an experienced Senior Developer/Lead Developer/Technical Lead and confident using PHP and Javascript. The company use Laravel and Vue as the frameworks of choice, so any experience in either of these technologies is advantageous.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving development processes, helping the team to be better and jumping into hands on development when needed.
