Lead Software Developer
Location: Romford, Essex (Hybrid - 2 days in office, 3 days remote, office-based training)

We're looking for a technically strong and people-focused Lead Developer to guide a small team of developers in delivering impactful low-code solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in Outsystems or traditional development to step into a leadership role and shape the digital future of a global logistics organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of two developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Oversee the full software delivery lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and support.
  • Deliver enterprise-grade applications using low-code or traditional development.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and value delivery.
  • Drive agile practices (Scrum/Kanban) and continuous improvement.
  • Manage integration with complex external systems, including legacy platforms and third-party solutions.
  • Support vendor relationships and ensure adequate team capacity for project delivery.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process and application improvements.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Experience in software development (low-code or traditional development environments considered).
Strong knowledge of SQL, Agile/Scrum, and the software delivery lifecycle.
