Location:

Sowerby Bridge / Hybrid (2-3 days in office)

Salary:

58,500-64,000 (depending on experience) + benefits

What You'll Do

Design and build solid, scalable back-end systems (APIs, integrations, microservices) Lead technical delivery across products--from architecture to deployment Integrate with third-party platforms (e.g. MIS systems like Pro-Solution, Tribal EBS; SSO, payments) Work with Laravel, NodeJS, Vue/React, and Flutter in AWS or Digital Ocean environments Guide our adoption of AI and automation features (chatbots, analytics, personalisation) Own our CI/CD and DevOps workflows, promoting best-in-class engineering practices Mentor junior developers and shape our growing dev team's culture Collaborate with designers, product managers, and stakeholders to create accessible, inclusive platforms Bake in security, privacy, and accessibility from day one

What You Bring

Must-Have

5+ years' experience in full-stack or mobile-first product development Experience leading delivery of multi-tenant, scalable systems Strong JavaScript and PHP skills (NodeJS, React/Vue, Laravel/WordPress) Familiar with Flutter or other cross-platform mobile frameworks Skilled in database design and management (SQL and NoSQL) Passion for DevOps, version control, and automated testing pipelines Clear understanding of secure coding, GDPR, and accessibility (WCAG) A collaborative mindset and a drive to make tech better for real people

Nice to Have

Experience with AI/ML tools (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face) Familiarity with real-time messaging and event-driven architecture Hands-on with analytics tools (e.g., Firebase, GA) Background in SaaS or EdTech products Advocates for inclusive design and accessibility-first thinking
