We are looking for a Lead Developer to join our team. The role is full time and on a permanent 36 hours per week basis.

The role of Lead Developer will contribute to the delivery of our vision by delivering & managing a robust development capability that can support the demands of the organisation and its customers using agreed development standards with solutions supporting a single architectural vision.



They will take ownership of the development of the code and database landscape that comprise several we-based applications and be responsible for not only driving performance and delivery but also for growing, developing and coaching this team to be the best they can.



You will work closely with the Architecture Team as well as other key technical and business stakeholders to ensure consistency in delivery and allowing for strong cross-functional working.



You will be the hands on lead developer maintaining our portfolio of both cloud based apps and some legacy applications.



To be considered as a Lead Developer, you'll need:



Excellent software development background - ideally working with a variety of technologies such as VB, ASP.NET/ASP.NET Core, C#, HTML5, CSS3 (SASS/LESS/SCSS), JavaScript (e.g. jQuery), MVC/Razor and SQL Server. Strong proficiency in Azure API Management, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hubs, Azure storage (Table/Blob/Queue), Azure SQL and Application Insights/Log Analytics. Strong proficiency in CI/CD and IaC using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, and Bicep or Terraform. Good experience of Azure DevOps. Strong proficiency in designing, building, securing, and operating RESTful Web APIs (OpenAPI/Swagger, versioning, throttling, caching).

Interviews will be held in week commencing 26/01/2026, initially on MS Teams followed up by a second interview at our offices in Swindon.
