The Opportunity: We are currently looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our clients Systems Engineering Team based in Coventry. You will be working for a successful global technology company with a comprehensive portfolio of solutions across traffic management, smart urban mobility, road safety and connected vehicles. This role would suit an individual who has been working with cloud-based technology platforms in the engineering, telecoms, utilities, defence, systems or transport sectors. This role will be predominantly remote, but will require monthly visits to the head office in Coventry. Skills and Experience:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of administering systems in Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift
  • Proven experience of deploying and administering Linux or UNIX based systems
  • Knowledge of virtualisation, containerisation, Infrastructure as Code and DevOps tools, techniques & procedures
  • Experience of troubleshooting IPv4 Networking, including routing and switches
  • Experience of automating tasks using Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Puppet or Python
  • Higher education with IT background (University degree is an asset)
  • Experienced with Intelligent Transportation/Mobility Systems (preferred)
  • Creative team player with superior problem-solving skills and outcome focused personality
  • Excellent client-facing skills along with strong written and verbal communication skills
